While I’ve been an avid user of Midjourney and Gemini for a while, and have started using Figma Make, I wanted to see how AI could impact the actual build phase of my design work.
I recently took the "Code with Cursor AI" course from moonlearning.io, and the results have been incredible.
For years, I felt limited by standard website builders. If you don't code, you're often stuck compromising on your design or relying heavily on developers for small tweaks.
Cursor AI has removed those guardrails. It allows me to:
- Take my exact Figma design and turn it into a static site.
- Bypass the limitations (and costs) of platforms like Wix or Webflow.
- Deploy easily using Netlify
I’m currently using this workflow to overhaul my personal portfolio. The best part? It feels like a true collaboration. I provide the vision and the assets, and Cursor handles the syntax, effectively acting as a patient coding partner.
