Scale, Architecture, & Adoption
Originally launched five years ago as a collaboration with a developer partner, the DIY Cardmaker is a web application that empowers users to design, personalize, and print perfectly measured folded cards at home. Recently, I pulled this legacy project off the shelf to serve as a sandbox for modern front-end workflows, completely reimagining the user experience and interface.
Key Contributions & Upgrades:
My path wasn't linear. I started in Civil Engineering, fascinated by the physical infrastructure that builds our cities. That precision led me to GIS (Geographic Information Systems), where I learned that data, like water needs a structure to flow effectively.
Today, I apply those engineering principles to Enterprise UX. I don't just design screens, I map workflows. I treat pixels like infrastructure.
I bring order to chaos by rallying teams around a shared process. From data-driven studies that define a solid MVP, to orchestrating buy-in across stakeholders, I ensure that complex systems are built on a foundation of clarity.
Thoughts on design, data, cats, AI and the macabre
AI
Five years after launch, I pulled down a legacy Vue app and did the full front-end overhaul myself — turning a sterile utility into the tactile creative sandbox I always imagined.
AI
I am, quite literally, using AI to design AI. It is AI all the way down. A look at the meta-reality of modern product design workflows.
UX
There is a very specific danger that comes with the design silo, and it isn't just loneliness. It's the death of the casual share.
